Опис

Колишній Костел Непорочного Зачаття Найсвятішої Діви Марії (Пречистої Богородиці) та монастир сестер-домініканок. Пам’ятник архітектури національного значення 1653 р. Монастир домініканок заснований Софією Ходкевич у ХVII ст.. Після входження Галичини до складу імперії Габсбургів, костел передано греко-католицькій громаді міста. У 1944 році, після виселення українців в УРСР, Белз опинився на польському боці за так званою лінією Керзона. Церкву знову переобладнано на римо-католицький костел. У 1951 році, після входження м. Белз до складу СРСР, храм закрили. У 1991 році костел повернутий греко-католицькій громаді і посвячений як церква Св.Миколая.

Former Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Immaculate Conception) and the Monastery of the Dominican Sisters is an architectural monument of national importance build in 1653. Sophia Hodkewych founded the Dominican Monastery in Vilnius in the 17th century. After Galicia became part of the Habsburg Empire, the church was transferred to the Greek Catholic community of the city. In 1944, after the deportation of Ukrainians to the USSR, Belz found himself on the Polish side along the so-called Curzon Line. The church was again converted into a Roman Catholic church. In 1951, after Belz became part of the USSR, the church was closed. In 1991 the church was returned to the Greek Catholic community and consecrated as the Church of St. Nicholas.
